The likes of Aarti Vijay Gupta, Masaba, Jebin Johnny, Pankaj and Nidhi and many more designers have put forward collections containing wacky and unusual prints for Fall/Winter 2015. Here are 5 ways in which you can pull off these wacky prints, even when you live a less than Haute Couture life!
- Aarti Vijay Gupta has been well known for incorporating the less than usual prints into her outfits (labeled color palette jacket anyone?). Well, this year she has taken everything from vegetable prints to Geo prints and put them onto the runway.
Outfit Suggestion: The fall/winter is definitely a time for long jackets, so keep the focus on it by pairing a loud jacket with an otherwise sober outfit that complement the shades of the outfit. The multicolored long jacket with splashes of orange, navy and yellow paired with an orange color draped maxi dress and black flats, and a golden clutch bag and gold statement necklace.
- Masaba is another lady known for her use of wacky prints in abundance. From table fan printed sarees to the “Power of the Stallion” inspired outfits at LFW Fall/Festive 2015, she does not shrink away from using unusual prints.
Outfit suggestion: Try out wearing Masaba’s Yellow running horse short dress, paired with a black solid belt and black knee high boots.
- Pankaj&Nidhi for Koovs is all the rage right now. With their collection of affordable but funky outfits, this range has pieces which has incorporated patterns of broken plates, ceramic scale, broken glass and gemstones to name a few.
Outfit suggestion: Try taking the broken glass printed pencil skirt for a spin by pairing it with a grey slouchy top, blue infinity scarf, grey heels, a grey bag and maybe even an interesting grey and black cat eye glasses.
- Urvashi Joneja has incorporated a lot of light ray/ geoprint outfits in her LFW Fall Festive 2015 collection. The high low maxi blouse silhouette is being embraced by all fashionistas in India left and right. This piece can even be worn to a work setting.
Outfit Suggestion: Pair this high low top with black chinos, white stilettos and a long chain necklace with an interesting pendant.
That's all for now!!
